Detroit, MI - TromaDance Detroit

TromaDance is the first film festival wholeheartedly devoted to filmmakers and fans. Everyone at TromaDance is treated as an equal. The elite and the celebrated are treated no better or worse than the experimental filmmaker or the random moviegoer off the street. Admittance to all screenings, panels, parties, and events is strictly on a first come, first served basis. If there are any VIPs at TromaDance, they are the filmmakers whose blood, sweat, and hard work are on the screen.

TromaDance Detroit continues this tradition and expands on the possibility of a free and independent festival for the people! TromaDance Detroit will feature not only independent films, we are expanding the festival to include art in all of its forms. Music, performance art, and more!

Founded in 2003, CUFF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to programming films that defy convention. Through the screening of contemporary works in various categories that include: feature, documentary, animation and shorts - we bring Calgarians a unique roster of films rarely seen in North American theatres.

We actively look to showcase titles in all genres, from horror, sci-fi and fantasy to comedies, thrillers and music-related films. In addition to finding great films we are committed to introducing you to the people behind the lens, by showcasing local and international indie filmmakers. We are proud to contribute to Calgary's thriving arts community and are thrilled to bring innovative and challenging selections to all film enthusiasts.

Philadelphia, PA - Underground Arts Showing

  • Underground Arts

Underground Arts is a new 12,000-square-foot venue currently under development. A vibrant incubator offering new forms, ideas and artists to Philly audiences, Underground Arts offers a setting for a wide variety of performance types – theater, performance art, music, comedy, poetry, dance, etc. We intend to host visual artists (painters, sculptors, photographers, videographers, installation artists, etc.) concurrent with performances in order to offer a more fully realized arts experience. The ultimate goal of Underground Arts is to provide an outlet for talented, emerging, often experimental, struggling artists to have their voices heard, develop a following and, ultimately, to be able to make their livings from their art.

Richmond, VA - The Byrd Theater Screening

  • The Byrd Theater

The Byrd Theatre was built in 1928 in Richmond, Virginia as one of the Nations’s Grand Movie Palaces and is both a State and National Historic landmark. Today it serves as an anchor for the quaint Carytown shopping district offering a venue for independent films and second-run movies. And just as in the early days of the Byrd Theatre, you can catch a Saturday night performance of the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ prior to the movie.
